Designed and hand-crafted on Norway's western coast, the Edge Alnes is a sea kayak with more surf in its design than any other sea kayak on the market. Each kayak is handmade by our friends at Eagle Composites in Albania — custom-finished, quality-tested, and made one at a time.

A test of the wavy SVG dividers

This dark band reuses the original Edge Kayak Shopify site's wave SVGs as top and bottom section dividers, with the small “e” letterform repeating as a subtle background pattern. If we like it, the same wrapper can theme any future dark section.

Ch. 02 — The Boat

One kayak.
Patiently refined.

The Edge Alnes started as a paddler's frustration with touring kayaks that wouldn't surf. Twelve years and several hull revisions later, it's a sea kayak with the rocker and forebody to catch a wave, the secondary stability to stay upright when it lands, and the waterline efficiency to still cover ground at the end of a long day.

Every boat is laid up by hand — finished in a colour you choose, built in one of three material options, with fittings you specify. Ready for the water you actually paddle.

Choosing a colourway that survives a North Atlantic season
